San Leandro is in the center of the Bay Area, equal distance from San Francisco and Silicon Valley, with excellent transit access via BART, Highways 880,580 and 238, and the Oakland International Airport. Developments already under construction or entitled include:

-- The Shoreline project/Cal Coast, Master Developer: The City is in the process of developing 75 of 950 acres of its publicly owned land. Development will include a new hotel, conference center, housing, office and retail space breaking ground on the San Leandro waterfront in 2016.
