District Description

Old South Gaylord, a charming single block near central
Denver packed with nearly 40 shops, eateries and professional services, is the
second oldest shopping district in the city. Once a suburban cable car
turn-around for the Denver Tramway Company, the popular area remains very
accessible by bike, car, and on foot as well as today’s transit. Its proximity
to Washington Park and the desirable surrounding residential areas lend a
neighborly feel. Today Gaylord’s visitors and regulars enjoy a welcoming,
walkable streetscape and passionate local business owners showcasing a variety
of upscale boutiques, galleries and restaurants.
