District Description

This is the tax increment financing district created in 1984 to redevelop and fight blight in Downtown Ormond Beach. Funds are available to assist business development. This are includes a Creek District, A River District and an Ocean District. It includes 1 block north and south of Granada Blvd. (SR 40) from Orchard St on the west to the Atlantic Ocean. This area is a FDOT transportation corridor and has a brownfield designation. We would like to encourage multi tenant housing in this area and have adopted a form based code with special development provisions to fast track development that meets the desired criteria. Please contact Joe Manarino at Ormond Beach City Hall 386-676-3200.Funding for the planing phase of a new transient dock located on the inter-coastal waterway has been approved and implementation is expected in 2018.
