Site Description

The City of Oxnard is promoting a unique opportunity to acquire and develop approximately 1.61 acres (including N. 5th Street) of private and publicly owned property within its historic downtown ("Downtown"). The site is generally bordered by West Fourth Street to the north, South C Street to the west, Park Plaza to the south, and South B Street to the east.

Downtown Oxnard offers the potential for a mixed use development in one of the City’s major employment centers with close proximity to the Oxnard Transit Center, historic Heritage Square, restaurants, 14-screen movie theater, Carnegie Art Museum, Plaza Park, and the City's Civic Center. 

The City is currently working on a review of development standards within its Downtown to potentially allow up to 5-story mixed-use development and offsite parking (with in-lieu fee) to encourage private investment and transform Downtown Oxnard into a vibrant, mixed-use, cultural, entertainment and pedestrian friendly area.
