Holy Cross Abbey is a mixed-use campus in Canon City, CO. Built in
the 1920s as a monastery of the Catholic Church, the 190-acre property
consists of 16+ buildings and farmland. Most of the buildings are
oriented around a quadrangle that creates a campus atmosphere. The
property includes a working farm and winery, and there is significant
income from the event center, Department of Corrections office lease and
the winery. The project may appeal to developers and investors for

The property is located on the eastern side of Canon City, which is
the county seat of Fremont County, population 16,400. The main access to
the site is U.S. Hwy 50, which carries about 22,000 cars per day past
