The village of Plainfield currently has a request for qualifications (closing date November 3, 2017 at 10AM) open for interested development groups that would like to participate in the Depot Drive: Public Private Partnership on the subject site. The 58 acre site is located just south of U.S. Route 30/Lincoln Highway and a Pace Park N Ride lot with 400-600 spaces will be constructed and open by summer of 2018. The construction of these facilities will be at approximate 5 acres at the north end of the subject site, and the construction will include a Van Dyke signal into the site and the construction of a PCC Pavement concrete roadway as shown in the Pace design attached.
Through the RFQ, the Village would like to determine the feasibility and market interest in developing the site with a combination of private industrial/office development, possible neighborhood retail, and a publicly owned or operated PEMA facility through the mechanism of the public private partnership.
