On March 28th, 2017 the City Council of Mission Viejo:
Approved the Core Area Vision Plan report, and Authorized staff to: (i) Enter into a MOU with Santa Margarita Water District to conduct a feasibility Study, not to exceed $50,000, to repurpose the water treatment facility located off La Paz Road and within the Core Area; (ii) Enter into an Agreement with Fuscoe Engineering for Constraints Map & Project Coordination for an amount not to exceed $16,000; (iii) Public Services Department staff coordination for creek repair and clean-up; (iv) Further refine and enter into an Agreement with SWA to prepare Conceptual Plan and illustrative renderings for Core Area Creek Improvements (final agreement to return to City Council for approval); (v) Enter into an Agreement with Consultant for Property Owner outreach, coordination/ negotiation regarding the creek improvements/ catalyst project (estimate $12,000); (vi) Enter into Agreement with Fuscoe Engineering for follow up work, including Concept Plan Review of SWA plan related to constraints and civil engineering design (grading, drainage,
utilities etc.) and Cost Estimate Support ($8,000) (see Attachment); (vii) Enter into an Agreement with Consultant to identify Funding Mechanisms and related follow through (estimate $6,000); and (viii) Followup with SCAG regarding revised scope for the $120,000 grant award for Core Area plan.
