Site Description

This City-owned 2 acre site is across from the Wisconsin Convention Center, Hilton Hotel, Shops of Grand Avenue, and a few blocks south of the under-construction Arena District. The future development could incorporate a mix of high density uses along with a unique transit stop and public space. The development should leverage its proximity to high visitor traffic that attends the Wisconsin Center. The City is also pursuing a federal grant opportunities to extend The Milwaukee Streetcar along N. 4th and 5th streets, connecting this site to the Milwaukee Intermodal Station and the Arena District. The streetcar, bus rapid transit, and bike share could converge on the site for a true transit orientated development opportunity. The City of Milwaukee issued a Request for Proposals seeking development for the site.
